The New MOBILE Baler is Here!

A fully automated baler just wasn’t good enough for us here at CK International! We have now taken this one step further and transformed it into a mobile machine! This mobile twin ram baler is the first of its kind in the UK. It is ideal for projects where it needs to move across various sites with minimal set-up time.

Raymond O’Hagan, CK International’s Twin Ram Product Specialist says, “We are delighted to see this new mobile twin ram baler off to its first customer. Over the past few years we have seen an increase in customers working on short-term contracts. We wanted to develop a mobile solution for this purpose. The mobility of this baler ensures it can be easily moved from site to site with very little set-up time. It also provides an immediate baling solution while awaiting planning approval.”

Process High Volumes of Waste Materials

This baler boasts many of the same features as our popular and fully automatic baler range with the added advantage of mobility. It is capable of producing high volumes of waste materials at high densities. For this reason, customers can reduce transport costs, increase payloads or reduce volume in landfill. It is versatile enough to bale multiple materials in one machine such as SRF/RDF, cardboard, paper, cans, plastic bottles, rigid plastics and many others.

Gareth McCullagh, Engineering Manager at CK International says, “We have designed this mobile version with the end-user in mind. Automation and simplicity were key factors when developing this machine. It is fully integrated with a mobile conveyor and CrossWrap Direct wrapper and also has options for wire tying or plastic strapping systems. We have mounted an ejector ram on the rear of the main body to make transport easier for the customer. It is also fully kitted out with access ladders, walkways and handrails. We look forward to seeing this product working at various sites around the world, processing many different types of waste material!”

First Machine Going to the Netherlands

The first custom-built machine is for our partner, Avermann (Netherlands). On arrival, it will integrate with an in-feed conveyor and a CrossWrap direct wrapper with netting system. It will initially be baling RDF/SRF but the beauty of this machine is that it may move on to another project to process different waste material! So watch this space!
